Just received the following message on my pager:
VICSES has received further advice from the BOM this afternoon that a weather system is devoloping that will see damaging winds, similar to 2 April 2008, extending across the state on Tues 3 March. Expected at western border 0900-1200, Central districts 1400-1700, Eastern borders 2100-2400 & continuing into Wednesday. Tues average wind speeds 60-80kn/hr with gusts above 100km/hr, as high as 140km/hr in elevated areas. Scattered showers of 10-20mm. Wednesday southwest winds averaging 50-70km/hr with gusts to 100km/hr in southern and coastal areas, tapering inland with gusts to 80km/hr.
