Forgive me I have been buried somewhere for the past 15 years (some call it marriage) I have decided to get back into scanning.
I went out and got one of these Alinco DJ-X11 nice little radio.
Anyhow I went to programme a simple frequency the other day and it won't happen
477.400
I know it's a UHF CB channel 40
I put the frequency in andit refers to 476.750.
any ideas ????

hold down 3 when you turn it on, should change the bandplan to UK, that might help

It was a bit of a fiddle it won't enter directly might be a firmware issue.

You've got mode Wide FM set there, which may explain why it is defaulting to 100kHz steps.
Change the mode to FM or NFM.

G'day Turbo
The setting was on auto initially.
I manually changed it to FM so I could get that frequency.
